pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains Review- Video

pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains Review

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the pewag All Square 5.6 millimeter Snow Tire Chains. These are gonna be a ladder pattern style chain, so they're gonna be a little more rough of a ride than the diagonal or diamond pattern chains, but that's not a huge deal, these aren't gonna be the roughest ride of all of them though, there are some all square snow tire chains that are a little bit bigger, these are 5.6 millimeters linked thick, so these are relatively larger, but not as big as they can go, so they're gonna get you a decent amount of traction, and these are gonna be less traction than some of the V-bar style chains. These do have a little bit stronger steel material, it's manganese nickel alloy, some of them are low carbon steel, so these are definitely winning when it comes to how hard and how strong they are, so they should last a long time. And one thing I like about it is just the cam tensioners, they really do help get a really nice fit on the chain, so that is something to kinda think about, just because as treads start to kinda go down, sometimes the diameter of your tire changes ever so slightly, so with the cam tensioners, you can be confident that they're as tight as they can be, so they're not gonna fall off or anything and damage the vehicle. These won't damage your wheels, so notice how we have a very large amount of gap between the chain and our rims, so even if we we're in very, very thick, heavy snow where it's pushing in on the side walls, it's not gonna go and scratch our wheels, that's something I look at, just because these are nice and I wanna keep them nice, so you don't have to worry about that with these. If you wanna put these on just the back wheels of whatever vehicle you may have, you can do that, it does come in a pack of two, but if you do wanna put it on the front wheel as well, you're gonna have to grab two of these. more

Hey everyone today, we're taking a look at the Konig Snow Tire Chains. These are your diamond pattern style snow chains and they are gonna give you a much smoother ride compared to your ladder style. And while the ladder style does give you more effective starts and stops, these are just gonna give you better overall traction since there's more coverage on the chains on your tire. These are made out of a manganese nickel alloy steel. So they're gonna be very durable, last a long time, as well as being corrosion resistant. And the square links themselves will give you just a little bit better traction, definitely more traction than the rounded style. more

So, these aren't the most aggressive chains you can get, because you can get the v-bar chains, which literally just have spikes on the outside of them. You can also get the studded chains, which are also super aggressive, but on-road use with those, you're gonna kind of scuff up your driveway, if you have some pavement there. Additionally, they don't attach behind your tire, they attach to the treads of the tire, so they're great for SUVs and trucks with limited wheel well clearance back there because there's no way for them to interfere with any linkage or any other components back there. While they don't attach to your wheel itself, they do attached to one of its lug nuts and the reason that is because they're self-tensioning snow tire chains. more

Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains Review

Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com.Today, we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Titan chain alloy snow tire chain. So these chains do come with a decent amount of cool features. One of them being, it does come with a fairly sturdy case.A lot of them come in canvas bags, which in my experience do tear and rip over time.So this was definitely something that I was impressed with right away.Another thing I do have experience with other tire chains, and a lot of them you have to purchase tensioner to stretch throughout your whole entire chain.Which tightened chain included that right here, it's all included, and it tightens up just as good as the other ones will.So that was another thing that I definitely liked about this, because honestly, a lot of the times I lost my tensioner. This one it's impossible to lose.So we do have a nice diamond shaped pattern, which is going to give a lot of surface area when it is on your tire. It's going to give you a lot of traction to start and stop down on the road.So with these small square links, it's going to give you a fairly smooth ride. And they're all going to wear evenly. These are made from a manganese nickel alloy compound, which is extremely durable and rust resistant. So you know that they will last a very long time. And these are in the mid range. I would consider the mid range of these tire chains. You can get some that are more aggressive, but in lighter conditions, those usually tear up the road. These are safe to use, even in those light conditions that you need a little bit more traction.Well, these are S H E S class certified. So basically what that means is when there's low, not a lot of clearance in your wheel.Well, these chains don't really add a whole lot of radius to your tires. The back isn't necessarily a huge issue, but for your four wheel drive applications, the front, when you're turning, it is going to get a little bit close with those non S H E S class certified chains. But luckily Titan chain alloy, snow tire chains are certified. So you won't have to worry about that. There, these are rated up to 30 miles an hour. They're very simple to install and it's the same install on every single wheel. We do have a couple of customers that use them with Dooley's.So don't be afraid to purchase these for your Dooley's as well.I'm going to get to it and show you guys how to install these. So the first thing you want to do is lay out your chains, make sure there're no kinks in your links, make sure everything's laying flat. And once that's done, you can go ahead and start fishing this behind her wheel. You want to put the non yellow end towards the front of your vehicle.Once you do that, grab both sides, go up behind your tire and link this in right there. And while you're back here, go ahead and start draping these chains over your tires, making sure that these straight lines are in the middle of your tire tread.Always make sure the rotated nice and evenly. So once you get that all set up, you got to take this green hook right here and click it onto that end link right there.Next step is to grab your gray chain right here and loop it into this red cam buckle.Pull it as tight as you can, making sure it's nice and tight. And then once it is, you can just fish this guy through here, and then you can end the install just by hooking it with the hooks facing out away from your tire. And that's literally it.It was super simple.Usually when you need these tire chains, you're not in the best weather. So being able to come out here and slapped this on real quick, so you can get down the road. It's always a plus.Always roll over your tires a couple of times, and then come back out here and check the tension. It falls well, you can get going. And that's just about it for a look at the Titan chain, alloy, snow tire chain. more
